AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor · ARN-144500 · Serving families since 2019 · Based in Ranchi and Deoghar, Jharkhand — working with investors across India online.

Why Work With Us

Start or sort out your mutual fund investments — with someone who explains every step

Mutual funds are one of the simplest ways for an ordinary family to build wealth over time. Starting is where most people stall: which category, which fund house, SIP or lump sum, regular plan or direct, and what happens to the money once it leaves your account. As an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor (ARN-144500), we help you understand those choices properly and then set everything up through the correct, regulated channel.

The conversation and the onboarding are free. Below is exactly how it works, what it costs you, and what we will never do.

Who This Is For

Three situations we help with most

  • You’ve never invested in a mutual fund. You have savings in a bank account or FD and want to start a SIP, but the jargon — NAV, expense ratio, exit load, ELSS — keeps putting you off.
  • You already save in FDs, PPF or EPF and want a next step. You want to understand where mutual funds fit alongside what you already hold, before committing a rupee.
  • You invest already, but it’s scattered. Folios across several fund houses, SIPs you’ve lost track of, missing nominations or an old address on file. We help you see it all in one place and tidy up the paperwork.

How It Works

From first message to first SIP, in five steps

Almost everything happens online, so it doesn’t matter whether you live in Ranchi, Deoghar or anywhere else in India.

  1. You get in touch. A WhatsApp message or the contact form is enough. Tell us roughly what you’re saving for and when you’ll need the money.
  2. A conversation, by phone or video. We walk through how fund categories differ, what SIPs actually do, the costs and the tax — in plain language. You ask everything you want; the decisions stay yours.
  3. KYC and account set-up. If your KYC isn’t already complete, it’s done digitally with your PAN, Aadhaar and bank details, and you add a nominee at the same time. Validation by the KYC agency usually takes a few working days.
  4. Your first investment. The transaction is placed through the fund house’s own platform. For a SIP, you approve an e-mandate with your bank so instalments go out automatically. Units are allotted in your name at the applicable NAV.
  5. Ongoing service. You receive statements directly from the fund house and the registrar. We help with the routine things that come later — adding or stopping SIPs, redemptions, nomination and bank changes — and a yearly check-in if you’d like one.

Your money never comes to us. Every rupee you invest moves directly from your bank account to the mutual fund, and the units are held in your own name. We will never ask for your passwords, OTPs or UPI PIN.

What It Costs You

Free to you — and here’s exactly how we’re paid

We don’t charge you a fee for the conversation, the onboarding or the servicing. A distributor is paid by the fund house, through a small trail commission that is built into the expense ratio of a fund’s regular plan.

Every scheme also has a direct plan with no distributor involved, and therefore a lower expense ratio. For equity funds the gap is commonly in the region of half a percentage point to one percentage point a year; you can check the exact figure for any scheme in its factsheet or on the fund house’s website. Over long periods, that difference compounds, and you should know about it before you choose.

Both are legitimate choices. If you’re confident managing your own investments, a direct plan may suit you better, and we’ll happily point you to our step-by-step guide to investing on your own. If you’d value someone to explain, set up and service your investments over the years, that is what the regular plan pays for.

Our Lines

What we will never do

  • Promise returns. Mutual fund returns are not guaranteed, and anyone who promises a number is selling, not explaining.
  • Hand you a “best funds” list. There is no single best fund — only funds that suit or don’t suit a particular goal and time horizon.
  • Churn your portfolio. We won’t suggest switching funds to generate fresh commission, or push new fund offers simply because they’re new.
  • Pressure you. Take as long as you need. Many people read our guides for weeks before they start — that’s fine.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. You pay no fee to us for the consultation, the onboarding or ongoing help. As explained above, we are paid a trail commission by the fund house, which is included in the regular plan’s expense ratio — so the cost exists, it is simply inside the fund rather than charged to you separately.

Is my money safe with you?

Your money never passes through us. It goes from your bank account straight to the mutual fund, the units are registered in your name, and your statements come directly from the fund house and its registrar. Mutual funds themselves are regulated by SEBI, and your investment is held by an independent custodian. Note that “safe” here means the money is properly held — the value of your units will still rise and fall with the market.

I live outside Jharkhand. Can you still help?

Yes. We’re based in Ranchi and Deoghar, but KYC, account set-up and transactions all happen online, so we work with investors across India. Conversations happen by phone or video.

I already have mutual funds. Can you take over servicing them?

Often, yes. We can help you bring scattered folios into view using your Consolidated Account Statement, fix missing nominations or outdated details, and service the investments from here on. Whether moving existing holdings makes sense depends on factors like exit loads and tax, which we’ll explain before you decide anything.

Can I stop a SIP or take my money out whenever I want?

SIPs can be paused or stopped at any time. Open-ended funds can usually be redeemed on any business day, though an exit load may apply if you redeem within a set period, and ELSS tax-saving funds carry a three-year lock-in. Capital gains tax may also apply — our mutual fund taxation guide explains how.

Ready when you are

Send a WhatsApp message with what you’re saving for, and we’ll take it from there — no pressure, and no cost to talk.

Disclosure: FactFinances is an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN-144500). We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, and nothing on this page is investment advice or a recommendation of any scheme. As a distributor, we receive commission from the asset management companies whose schemes are bought through us; this is included in the regular plan’s expense ratio. Direct plans of every scheme are available with a lower expense ratio. Mutual fund investments are subject to market risks; read all scheme-related documents carefully. Past performance may or may not be sustained in future.
